Shield Rx is a student-led startup born out of West Virginia University with one mission: to prevent prescription drug misuse before it starts. We’re tackling the opioid crisis with a smart, secure, and affordable solution a biometric pillbox that dispenses medication only to the intended user, at the right time. Designed with safety, simplicity, and accountability in mind, Shield Rx empowers families, pharmacists, and care providers to take control of medication storage and protect the people they love.
